Summary
$150,000 from Phoenix Cargo and other large gifts from Uzbek-owned trucking firms helped fund the Islamic Center of Maineville, according to a Fox News Digital review of Telegram posts and records.
Several donors had serious FMCSA compliance histories, including Premier Trucking Group with more than 100 violations, Foko Logistics with a 41.7% vehicle out-of-service rate, and Maca Transportation with 120 violations.
Telegram material reviewed by Fox also linked the mosque project and Hamkor Uz Cincinnati to current and former Uzbek officials, despite the mosque website saying it does not solicit foreign-government donations.
The scrutiny comes as Ohio lawmaker Michelle Teska pushes English-only CDL testing and Warren County police step up commercial-vehicle enforcement after a fatal crash involving an Uzbek truck driver earlier this year.
Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell said he has no evidence laws were broken in the fundraising, but called the broader pattern in the local Uzbek trucking community significant enough to warrant law-enforcement awareness.
