Summary
Six players emerged as notable NFL trade-deadline targets in Yahoo Sports podcast analysis, with Jaguars wideout Brian Thomas Jr. framed as the most intriguing fit for contenders needing explosive offense.
Thomas' rookie contract and limited Jacksonville usage were cited as key reasons he could move, with Baltimore, Kansas City and the Rams discussed as fits and the Ravens tagged as the preferred landing spot.
Tony Pollard was pitched as a practical rental for Minnesota's injured backfield, while Budda Baker and Grover Stewart were identified as Buffalo fixes for a secondary that has leaked yards and a run defense needing more size.
On the defensive line, Jonathan Greenard was floated as a Chiefs pass-rush add despite contract complications, and Moro Ojomo was labeled the top Eagles defender likely available, with Jacksonville mentioned as a match.
The discussion reflects how contenders may chase short-term upgrades before the deadline, while rebuilding teams weigh moving veterans or underused young talent to reshape future rosters.
