Summary
Wednesday’s rare head-to-head pits WWE’s NXT against AEW’s Dynamite at 8 p.m. ET, after WWE shifted NXT from its usual slot because of the midterm elections.
WWE has stacked NXT with main-roster star power rather than its usual developmental focus, including John Cena, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk, who challenges Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship.
AEW counters with its Blood and Guts special, built around men’s and women’s multi-person cage wars featuring Adam Copeland, Darby Allin, The Young Bucks and Will Ospreay.
The one-night clash revives a channel-surfing dynamic for U.S. wrestling fans, with NXT airing on CW and Dynamite on TBS as both promotions load up key storylines.
