Summary
Ronny Yordrix Guanipa Chrinos was arrested Thursday evening on Constitution Avenue after Secret Service officers spotted him acting suspiciously in a parked stolen vehicle near the White House.
DHS said the Venezuelan national told officers voices in his head had directed him to travel to Washington and kill President Donald Trump.
Agents recovered 3 firearms from the car—an AR-15-style rifle, a Mac 10 and a Glock 43X—along with dozens of rounds of ammunition.
The case remained developing late Friday, with DHS framing the arrest as a White House security threat involving an undocumented migrant.
