Summary
CJ Carr powered Notre Dame to a 31-24 win over unbeaten Miami, throwing for 319 yards and three touchdowns in the marquee quarterback matchup.
A 17-3 first-half lead gave the Irish control, and Carr's play held up after halftime as Miami's offense struggled to fully recover without Malachi Toney.
Beanie Wells said Carr "put the team on his back" and looked every bit like the Heisman candidate Notre Dame needed in a big-game spot.
Carr now has 2,168 passing yards, 21 touchdowns and just one interception on a 67.6% completion rate, with three regular-season games left as Notre Dame pushes for a playoff run.
