Summary
Pokémon GO has rolled out new in-game Gyms, PokéStops and routes across 140 National Trust properties, tying the game to summer visits at heritage sites around the UK.
The collaboration is aimed at drawing younger visitors, with Pokémon GO Summer Quest events scheduled for the first two weekends of August and location-specific card backgrounds marking where Pokémon are caught.
Twenty-seven sites, including Kingston Lacy, Anglesey Abbey and Fountains Abbey, will host dedicated Pokémon zones with mini-games, hands-on activities and Mega Evolution Trails.
Five collectible stickers across different properties can be completed for a chance to win a Pokémon TCG Elite Trainer Box, while selected sites are also offering Pikachu meet-and-greets and other Summer of Play extras.
The tie-up turns existing National Trust trails into game routes, using the hit mobile title to make historic properties more appealing to families during the school holidays.
