Apple Prepares 5-Plus Device September Debut, Led by $2,000 Foldable iPhone

At least five Apple devices are expected at the September iPhone event, centered on the iPhone 18 Pro line, Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, and a first foldable iPhone.
The foldable model could be the standout: a 5.5-inch phone that opens to 7.8 inches, uses a 2nm A20 chip, and may cost $2,000 to $2,500, though manufacturing issues could delay its release.
iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are tipped to add a variable-aperture wide camera, faster A20 Pro chip, and better battery life, with the Pro Max possibly getting a thicker body for a larger battery.
Those Pro models could also rise by $100 to $200, while Apple is expected to skip a standard iPhone 18 this fall and push the regular iPhone 18, 18e, and Air 2 to spring 2027.
Apple's event is most likely on Sept. 8 or Sept. 9, with other home products and Macs more likely saved for a separate late-2026 launch.
