Eustis police say 28-year-old Shakoi Donovan sped off during a DUI stop early Saturday, trapping one officer inside his car and dragging another 10 to 15 feet.
Body-camera video and a police report show officers had repeatedly ordered Donovan out of a running silver Infiniti after spotting it weaving over a yellow line, then tried to pull him out before he accelerated.
One officer was pinned between Donovan and the steering wheel, while the other tumbled across South Eustis Street asphalt and was treated for injuries.
Donovan remains jailed on charges including attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, aggravated battery on an officer and resisting with violence; his next court date is Aug. 24.
Court records show prior Lake County arrests, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in May and burglary and battery charges in 2022.
