Samsung added 1 million Galaxy Z Fold 8 units to production after a strong pre-order rush, signaling demand above the company’s initial plans.
More than half of buyers through Samsung’s online store in South Korea were in their teens to 30s, with purchases by women in that age group more than doubling from the previous model.
The shift appears tied to the Z Fold 8’s wider design, which broadened its appeal from productivity-focused users to content consumption and everyday use.
That marks a break from earlier Galaxy Z Fold models, which were largely seen as devices for middle-aged men, and suggests Samsung’s foldable market is widening.
