That design targets a key bottleneck in superconducting and silicon-spin qubit development, where each chip test has often required a full cooldown cycle and teardown at near-absolute-zero temperatures.
FormFactor pairs the refrigerator line with broader cryogenic tools, including the IQ3000 prober, prescreening cryostats and a Boulder test lab, after acquiring its dilution-refrigerator business from JanisULT in 2022.
A March 2025 partnership with Delft Circuits also tackled wiring limits, lifting capacity from 300 signal channels across 12 ports to as many as 1,920 channels in total.
Quantum remains a small part of FormFactor's larger semiconductor-test business, which posted record Q2 revenue of $258.2 million and a 20% free-cash-flow margin while the stock has risen 270% over 52 weeks.
