Primm Valley Resort Reopens With 0 Resort Fees, Chasing Las Vegas Tourists

July 22 marked Primm Valley Resort & Casino’s reopening, and the property is now pushing a fee-free, lower-cost strategy to draw travelers priced out of Las Vegas.
Zero resort fees, lower room costs, reopened amenities like the pool and steakhouse, and matched loyalty tiers are central to the comeback pitch, according to Primm South Real Estate President Cory Clemetson.
The reopening came 17 days after Las Vegas-based Terrible’s took over operations in a last-minute deal that saved Primm’s last casino-hotel and 344 jobs from a planned shutdown.
Table games could return quickly, and Clemetson said shuttered sister property Buffalo Bill’s may reopen sooner rather than later as the town tries to revive repeat-visitor nostalgia.
Over the longer term, Primm is also betting on a planned Southern Nevada Supplemental Airport within 1.5 miles and expected within 10 years to strengthen its tourism appeal.
