FCC documents show a new Google-linked device, model G8BL6, filed as a “Wireless Device” by Weifang Goertek Electronics, a manufacturer that has previously built Google hardware.
The filing indicates the device has a screen—users reach regulatory info through Settings > System > Regulatory Information, the same path used on Wear OS devices such as the Pixel Watch 5.
Specs in the filing list Bluetooth and GPS but no WiFi, an unusual mix that makes a full smartwatch less likely while pointing toward a simpler wearable.
That profile, along with Google marketing images that recently showed an unidentified slim wearable, has fueled speculation it could be a Fitbit-style tracker rather than the upcoming Pixel Tag.
