The upgraded model spent nearly 35 minutes analyzing eligible lines and produced five picks: Jaguars +3, Steelers-Patriots under 41.5, Giants +7, Chiefs -6.5 and Vikings-Bears under 48.
Two of those selections aligned with the human bettor’s view: the Vikings-Bears under was praised as a strong contrarian play, while Jaguars +3 was seen as reasonable against a Denver team that looked shaky.
The Week 2 exercise still raised reliability questions: editors said ChatGPT incorrectly cited a Denver overtime game and misidentified a player on injured reserve, then corrected both errors.
The head-to-head contest keeps the same rules—five bets, no odds worse than -120, one-unit sizing—as the human enters Week 2 up 0.99 units against ChatGPT’s 5.23-unit deficit.
