Summary
Pokémon GO shifted City Safari: Boston to a primarily global format for existing ticket holders after severe weather hit the Boston area last weekend.
Oct. 24-25 gameplay will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in each player’s local time zone, carrying over the planned wild encounters and event bonuses.
Timed Research now replaces the original Eevee explorer-hat Special Research, offering Flabébé (Orange Flower), Hawlucha, Mudbray and Komala, while separate Boston PokéStop research can award up to nine Boston-background Eevee encounters per ticketed day.
Ticket holders can claim that Boston-linked Special Research anywhere in the world from Oct. 24, 2026 through Oct. 23, 2028, but the Boston GO Stamp Rally has been canceled.
Refund requests are open through Oct. 20 at 11:59 p.m. EST; refunded orders cannot rejoin the rescheduled event, and no new tickets will be released.
