Summary
iOS 27.2 arrives next week with updates to six Apple apps, led by Messages Suggested Actions, which can surface prompts to create reminders, calendar events or notes from chat context.
FaceTime gains a broader Dual Capture rollout in Group calls on iPhone 17 and newer, while the TV app adds profile selection on iPhone and iPad for shared-device viewing.
Home adds two smart-lock tools: Lock After Closing, which auto-locks after a door shuts, and Door Left Open alerts for doors left open too long.
Podcasts splits Up Next into New Episodes and Continue Playing, and the Games app now highlights recently downloaded unplayed titles plus clearer achievement and leaderboard tracking.
The release extends Apple’s recent push to add more context-aware and household-sharing features across core apps rather than introducing a single headline feature.
