Summary
Missouri state troopers recaptured Jacob Allen Morley on Tuesday after the 28-year-old convicted murderer escaped Tennessee's Northwest Correctional Complex on Oct. 25.
Prison staff discovered Morley missing around 11:30 p.m., and surveillance footage showed him crossing the perimeter fence; Tennessee dispatch audio said he was last seen at the prison about 4 p.m. Sunday.
Authorities also alleged Morley later stole a truck, and investigators said he could be connected to an armed bank robbery in Deerfield, Wisconsin.
Morley was serving a life sentence after his 2025 conviction for the 2022 murder of Cody Birchfield, along with burglary, tampering with evidence, evading arrest and vandalism.
