Apple Watch Ultra Models Drop to $649 and $699.99 Ahead of Black Friday

Q: Are these early Apple Watch Ultra discounts the actual price floor, or a clever retail trap before bigger Black Friday drops?

They are likely near the floor for the Ultra 4, but not necessarily for the Ultra 3. The evidence points to Amazon’s $699.99 Ultra 4 deal being a genuine low, not just bait. Multiple trackers and deal outlets describe it as a record low, and newer Apple products usually do not fall much further before Black Friday. Last year, the current-generation Ultra model only saw roughly a $99 discount during Black Friday, which is about where the Ultra 4 is now. That suggests waiting may not produce a dramatically better price on the latest model, though band-specific variations can still appear. The Ultra 3 is different. Best Buy’s $649 price is strong, but it may not be the absolute floor. Reports show certain Amazon configurations have briefly hit about $599.97, especially less common band combinations, and discontinued previous-generation Apple devices often get clearance-style drops as inventory thins out. That means Black Friday could bring a lower Ultra 3 price on select colors or bands, but availability may be patchy or vanish quickly. So the practical answer is this: if you want the Ultra 4, the current deal is credible enough to buy now. If you want the Ultra 3 and are flexible on color and band, there is a reasonable chance of a deeper one-off drop later, but it will likely be limited-stock rather than a broad, guaranteed Black Friday cut. For most shoppers, the real trap is waiting for a better deal and missing the configuration they actually want.
