Summary
Earlier this month, The Nest opened at Hull's Princess Quay and has already helped dozens of 16-24-year-olds into work through career advice, job support and direct appointments.
The hub was set up as Hull's official DWP Youth Hub to offer a less intimidating alternative to Britannia House job centre, with permanent work coaches moved on site and drop-in access Monday to Friday.
About 50 more young people are expected to engage over the next two weeks, and staff said DWP coaches have not had a single young person refuse to take part.
The Hull KR Foundation runs the service with charities, DWP staff and other partners, while its Exploring Opportunities programme also supports people aged 16 to 65 with confidence, skills and job search help.
