Samsung Starts One UI 9 Global Rollout for Galaxy S26 on Sept. 21

September 21 marks the start of Samsung’s global One UI 9 rollout for the Galaxy S26 series, with most units expected to get the Android 17 update by the end of next week.
The wider release follows a stable debut in South Korea on September 16 after months of beta testing, though timing will still vary by country, carrier and device variant.
One UI 9 adds Android 17, upgraded Galaxy AI features, enhanced device care tools, and new privacy and security options.
September 28 is the next milestone, when Samsung plans to begin One UI 9 rollouts for the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
October should bring the update to dozens more Galaxy phones and tablets, extending software that Samsung already preloaded on its latest foldables and some other devices.
